A $250,000 prize is being offered by Sikorsky for the first human powered aircraft to fly for 1 minute and attain an altitude of 3 metres.
They are upping the $20,000 prize that's been unclaimed for 30 years. Video shows the longest flight to date, 19 seconds.

These kinds of prizes, and the work they motivate, are admirable in how they advance the art and science of aviation But I'm not sure this qualifies as "flying".
Until you get out of ground effect you're really just "hovering". There's a significant difference.
