We're working on a story for Sport Aviation magazine about unusual airplanes that are available for rent. Things outside the normal rental fleet that are exciting / interesting / exotic. For example we've found places you can rent a Tiger Moth or a Stearman, an Apache on floats or an Extra 300. Can anyone suggest other examples?

Red Stewart Airfield in Waynesville, OH (40I) rents out a C-152, C-172, Piper Arrow, J-3 Cub, Aeronca Champ, Citabria, Super Decathalon, Pitts, Stearman, and 2 Schweizer gliders. Quite a diverse line... but I like this idea about doing a story about this.

I'm not sure that this quite qualifies as a rarity anymore, given their popularity relative to other LSAs, but I do have to drive most of a couple of hours, past several airports, to find a place that rents a Flight Design CTSW Light Sport Aircraft. One place that does is Hillsdale Municipal Airport (KJYM), Hillsdale in Southeast Michigan.
Has anyone generated and maintain a list of places to rent Light Sport Aircraft? The one site I've found with the most listings (http://sportpilottalk.com/FlightSchoolandRentals.htm) does not list EVERY place that I know LSA are available for rent, and no place near where I spend my days. In fact...it shows only something like 60 places renting LSA's...in the entire nation! That's not a lot.
