Fighter lead briefing to wingman (number two):

I only want to hear two things from you on the radio, "two, or lead you are on fire".

 

(for those who may not understand, the guys in a flight check in on the radio, or confirm they understand a transmission by stating their position in the flight in order and as crisply as possible)

Actually as a Flight Lead i like to brief my wingman: "two or lead you APPEAR to be on fire...i'm the flight lead, i'll decide if i am on fire or not..."
