Sometimes Museum staff hit a wall when it comes to naming an exhibit.  Such is the case with the aircraft modeling exhibit being developed here at the AirVenture Museum.  The exhibit is going to showcase many different aspects of the aircraft modeling hobby, with a particular focus on Free Flight, R/C, Control Line, and Static modeling.  With that in mind, do any of you OSH365ers have some ideas for a good name for our upcoming exhibit?  Here's what we've come up with so far:

- Real (small) Planes:

 - Aircraft Big and Small:

 - All Aircraft Great & Small:

 - Aviation Great & Small:

 - Inspired Flight:

 - Just Plane Fun:

And secondary tag lines that could be used in combination with the titles above:

 - How Model Aviation Propels an Industry

 - Model Aviation and The Inspiration of Flight

So, can you good folks think of any others?  If we decide to use your idea, I'll send you a plastic aircraft kit from my personal stash (don't worry - it won't be junk).

Thanks!

Zack

I'm not very good at coming up with this type of thing but I do like John's!

The problem is that "model" covers a lot of territory, from fine-scale, will-never-fly artifacts to wind tunnel models to flying models that have no counterpart in the "real world".  They all have on thing in common (if we agree that full scale models are better known as "mock ups") - they're all smaller than the real thing.  With that, and a tip of the hat to Burt Rutan, we get:

"Scaled Compositions"

How about "Sport Aviation in Minature".  Modeling really is a parallel universe to EAA.

The EAA staff working on the exhibit have talked it over, and there seems to be a common theme of dreams, miniature or small, and a connection to EAA in most of the suggestions.  With that in mind, we've combined quite a few of the ideas and have come up with this:

Little Wings - Big Dreams: Sport Aviation in Miniature.

Since no one person came up with the idea, I'm working on a small reward for all of you that have made suggestions.  Stay tuned for more info as I get the details ironed out.

Thanks folks!

Zack

Sounds like a winner Zack. Nice that we all contributed too.
