AERO Expo 2010 at Friedrichshafen, Germany, provided an overwhelming number of new, innovative aviation products, surely reinforcing it as Europe’s best general aviation trade show. What did you think?

As far as innovation is concerned, I think the award has to go to Oratex.  The ability to cover a fabric covered airplane with a pre-colored material and no painting is very impressive.  The environmental impact will be minimal and it will speed completion times.

I also like the Dallair FR-01.  I have been waiting since the inception of LSA rules for someone to do a competitive aerobatic airplane.

I think all the Light Plane craft such as the Woopy and the other parachute-lifted vehicles are exciting.  I see some real momentum and creativity in this area.
