It is complete crap to call it "unlimited" when they put in a minimum weight to prevent competitors. The Pond Racer and others would have kicked but, so they came up with this scheme to protect their friends. They'll keep destroying old warbirds until they're gone. Shameful.

I believe the rules were changed a while back to only allow old warbirds to limit the new technology. Why, I have no idea. It would be nice to see a truly unlimited class, but not many people would/could afford to come up with one. I'll bet that Fulton Competition here in Spartanburg could build an engine for George Periera's new GP5 that would absoutely astound! If any one knows how to get hold of him, let me know.
