Hey aviation enthusiasts, if you are someone who knows the planes and the people of aviation, knows their way around a computer, and are located in the Oshkosh area, EAA is looking for someone to volunteer their time to help out our Audio/Visual department with reviewing and logging video footage. What a great way to share your passion for aviation through participation! For more information, contact Valerie Williams in Human Resources at vwilliams@eaa.org.

I sure wish I was located close by, I'd love to help.

Let me know if you have any opportunities elsewhere in the future!

Will do!  There's always AirVenture though right?  And, not sure where you are located, but if there is an EAA Chapter near you, that would be a great place to get involved also!

Thanks again!

Hi Valerie

I dont know about the conditions to volunteer but my wife and I will be visiting air Venture for the first time in 2011 and both of us would like to give the EAA some of our time whilst there,

Unfortunately at the moment I dont think we have any chapters here in Australia so thats not an option , but we were hoping that there are some temporary volunteering positions for a couple of days at least, just to say thanks.

Will be keeping an eye on the web sight when the positions are known and then go from there.

Cheers

Dave and Denise

How exciting that you will be coming!  There is so much to see and do, I am sure if you pose the question on the AirVenture Talk forum you'll get lots of advice on what not to miss and "first-timer" tips.  You may also want to check the airventure.org website as it gets closer to the event.  There is a section on the website where you can plan your itinerary for when you are here that people find very helpful.

As for volunteering, beginning a few months before the event, volunteer opportunities begin to be posted on the website along with a description of the opportunity and a contact person.  The link is:  http://airventure.org/volunteers/.  Looking forward to having you join us for AirVenture 2011!

Best Regards,

Hi Valerie,

I am a some what local member, West Bend, and this sounds like a good way for me to get involved.  I am pretty computer literate and have a pretty good knowledge of aircraft types.  I would be interested in learning more about the work you need help with and whether I can be of help.  Please contact me so we could discuss this further.
