Hello,
I am proud to announce that last week we set four FAI worldrecords with our airplane, CEA-308. This airplane was also developed (designed and built) by aeronautical engineering students of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil (the same university that developed the aerobatic CEA-309 Mehari). This project is older than Mehari, but it took more time to be prepared for the record attempts. It was flew by Capt. Gunar Armin, former Brazilian Aerobatic Champion.
We set world records on FAI C1a0 (MTOW <300kgf) category in the following tasks:
- Speed over straight course of 3km – 360.13km/h – (previous 351km/h)
- Speed over straight course of 15km – 329.09km/h – (previous 292km/h)
- Speed over out and return course of 100km – 326.75km/h – (previous 297km/h)
- Time to climb to 3000m – 8min 15sec – (previous 13min 40sec)
Now, these records are waiting for certification byFAI.
