This plans-built Zenith CH701 is powered by the lightweight Garrett turboshaft engine, which will produce at least 90 bhp and work on almost any liquid that will burn. The best off-airport fuel choice is a mix of diesel and mogas as it burns a bit cleaner, making it a viable alternative engine in areas where avgas is scarce, like remote parts of Africa.

Sounded interesting till I got to the part about it burning about 12 gph!  Ouch!

Voice-over seemed to say "so quiet".   But it was horribly noisy .... even on video .... was he just being sarcastic?

Probably video production error...the back end of the tape has audio that comes from inside the airplane when clearly its an outside shot.

Cool airplane.  Sweet engine.  But we should send the videographer a free tripod.

I admit this is quite a cool build but the burn rate of 12GPH for a airframe on the small side of LSA seems to make this unpractical.  A Rotax 912 will give 10 more Horsepower at less than half the GPH on unleaded auto gas and no hot section checks to deal with.  I guess a Rotec radial would be nearly as cool and more practical.

I think this Is Just Great! No Buts!

I have watched the you tube videos that are better and it is very quite!

Who cares how much it drinks, I am not buying the gas, And I didnt see anywhere he is asking anyone to buy one.

Anyone can buy a Rotax, I remember a GlasairIII with a Walter engine, everyone criticized him for the fuel burn that was more than twice a piston, although his time to climbe was less than half!

Really people,, I think this is inovative, Creative, very profesinaly made.

AND JUST PLAN COOL!
