The Mosquito 75 project, a 3/4-scale reproduction of a
de Havilland Mosquito fighter, has been making a steady march toward flight
after taxi tests last month. Started in 1995 by a group of mostly retired
French pilots and mechanics, the project began picking up steam after making
its move from a workshop in western France to a nearby airfield. (Read original
story here .) The latest YouTube update includes a stylized video that
intersperses newsreel footage with the group’s own clips showing interior,
exterior, and chase-car angles during several short full-power runs reaching 45
mph.

The French really know how to celebrate a first flight! Just wish I could speak the language.
