I just recently got an android phone, does anyone have any good aviation apps they can recommend? It can be apps for gaming, displaying charts, plane spotting, flying instruments, anything as long as it dealing with aviation!
wink Thanks!

I am currently using airwx for a quick look at the weather.

I am also trying out a couple moving map apps.

I am looking at an Android tablet instead of the iPad since I have an Android phone and can share the apps between the two.

The Naviator app looks promising. I have been in touch with WingX and they tell me that their moving map will be available for Android before the end of the year.

Navzilla beta also looks interesting.

Aviation Maps is another moving map app, I have loaded it but can't test without a purchase.

just a note (beware of the iPad 2 WIFI model, it has no GPS).

Always looking and hoping our Adnroid apps catch up to and exceed iPhone apps since they are selling a ton of Android phones.

Well, Sporty's E6B is useful, the DUATSLink app is helpful, FltPlan.com mobile is good, but you have to download a whole states plates or know the airport you want. It would be nice if it was geo-sensitive and could give you a list of approach plates within a specified radius of your location and OpenFlight Map gives you all the FAA sectionals, but they take a long time to download because of their size. Of course I just make browser shortcuts for Aviationweather.gov.
