I'll be ferrying a vintage Cessna (1928) to central PA next month and am wondering about grass runways between Youngstown, OH, and Williamsport, PA . Do any of the big paved runways in that area have grass landing areas next to them?

Brokenstraw Airport, Pittsfield, PA - FAA ID P15 has a very nice and smooth 2665' crowned grass runway and 100LL fuel. On the Detroit sectional just North of the Tidioute VOR. Be sure to call ahead to make sure I can give you fuel. See us at flybrokenstraw.com.

Just to the SW of Youngstown is Salem Airpark - they've got a great restaurant on the field (breakfast/lunch only) and a 2,600 ft grass strip directly next to their 3,400 ft paved runway.
We swung by on our way back home to Dayton from Syracuse last month... nice place!

Greenville Municipal, 4G1, about 17nm east of YNG has a turf strip, 2550 x 120 that crosses the paved runway at roughly right angles. It's very well maintained.
