This video from YouTube is definitely worth 5 minutes of your time - - some beautiful camerawork and a great summary of the highlights of AirVenture 2009.

Wow, even with all I saw during the week, there were some new great highlights. Excellent video!

Out of all the highlights and videos I have seen over the years about AirVenture this is by far one of the best. Who did it?

It was emailed to us by someone signed "Slick".
I love some of the slow-mo shots.

Awesome video - took me right back there, and really gets you pumped up.
Have to Email it to all my friends that are not EAA members, who would never see it on this sight.
Great job Slick !

That might be one of the BEST video's I've seen. Man, you were really thinking on setting up those shots.
Can't wait to show this to my step-son. He wants to go to school for film. Be a director.

Thanks everyone for the complements on my video! I'm glad you all enjoyed it so much...and I'm very happy that it has done it's job of helping people to revisit the memories and fun times associated witht he world's greatest aviation celebration! It's much MUCH more popular than I thought it would have been!
Also, thanks Adam for helping to spread the vid around by posting it here!

Just a fun hobby! I actually start college at Texas A&M in two weeks...Aerospace Engineering on a Navy ROTC scholarship. I'll be an officer in the Navy for a while, but I'll continue with this hobby as well as some other fun ones I have!

What Philip said - I'm a film geek and thought you did a great job! I hope you saw my (one and only ever) post on YouTube about the "Learn to Fly" tent - I did pass that along to Adam.
For everyone else, search "slickhutto" on YouTube to watch some good stuff. Watch them in date order to see how a good director/editor improves over time.

Wesley, do you have a DVD available? WOW
Sure wish the souvenir DVD looked that good!

Basic Flying
1: Try to stay in the middle of the air.
2: Do not go near the edges of it.
3: The edges of the air can be recognised by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there.

Thanks Bob! I did see your post and responded to it, not sure if you got it yet. It does sound like a great idea! I just need to be able to confirm another Oshkosh trip again for next year!
James, you're not the first person to ask about a DVD, but no I don't sell/give any away. I would love to give DVD's out, but I don't know all the rules as far as music copyright issues and such when selling something that has someone else's song in the video. I just figure it's best not to send out DVD's. Unless someone does know the rules in this case. Sorry about that.

Wesley / Slick - - - welcome to Oshkosh365... and once again thanks for your excellent video.
The "AirVenture blues" tend to kick in during the week after the event... you're tired, the excitement is over, the human tendency to focus on what went wrong (rather than what went right) kicks in...
Your video cheered me up greatly and will be one that I return to through the winter months.
By the way, if you're planning to return to Oshkosh in 2010, and are interested in becoming a bit more involved with EAA's video team, I think they would welcome you with open arms.

As per my message on You Tube. You are a star and I'm posting this on Facebook too where I originally saw it, having been posted by one of the wabird marshals.
Surly bond slipper.

The video is fantastic! However, I shouldn't have watched it - it makes me realize all the great stuff that goes on during AirVenture that I miss as an EAA staffer. Sometimes working the convention isn't all it's cracked up to be!
