Give us your ideas!

Got an original idea for a new t-shirt slogan or design for AirVenture 2010? We’d like to hear it. Now we’re not talking your run-of-the-mill “place the logo on the pocket” design idea here. We’re talking an out-of-the-ballpark t-shirt concept that will make every aviation enthusiast say, “I gotta have that!”

You don’t have to be an artist! While you’re welcome to submit pictures to help illustrate your idea, a simple text description is just fine. We’ll compile all ideas and have our professional designers flesh them out and turn it into a game-winning design. Who knows? Your idea could be the inspiration for the best-selling AirVenture 2010 t-shirt.

Submit your ideas by Friday, December 18th by replying to this post. All EAA members that submit an idea will be entered into a drawing for a $50 EAA Merchandise gift card, to be drawn on Monday, December 21.

Note: by submitting your t-shirt design idea to EAA, you grant EAA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, promote, sell and display your idea or concept in connection with EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

Here's a comical design that highlights a very large event and always draws one of the biggest crowds:

My second design idea. The proper aircraft can be substituted for the 2010 flights:

I'd like one to celebrate the Aviation Legends of our time. Like the Wright Brothers and their airplane, Jeager and the X1, Richenbacher and his plane, Burt Rutan, Vans A/C, Paul Poberezny, Alan Shepard, Neil Armstrong, Etc, Etc. All the major aviation achievers.

I think it would be nice to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain in some way.  I envision a spectre-esq Spitfire with the roundels in full color and EAA's "Spirit of Aviation" motto.  This is just a simple rendition to get the idea.

I would hope there would be something to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the DC-3.

EAA Airventure - Look around, take a deep breath, and cherish this moment. For it is not just another summer day, but a new unforgettable page in your book of memories.

Adam,

How exactly did you do that? I went to the linked sites and messed around with things, but could never figure out how to create something like you did using that wordle site.  Wanna share the secret?  wink

How about some shirts that  theme related to the highlighted aircraft visiting. Erickson Skycrane would have been an excellent shirt with the Erickson and EAA logos together..  It would benefit Erickson and the EAA as well..  The shirt would then kind of be a commerative. How About ( Ericson Ch-64 Skycrane,  EAA Airventure 2009) Maybe on the Back (  I was there! )

I have no idea about a graphic for this, but what about something like:

Tired of all the tall tales from your fishing and golfing buddies?

Become an AirVenture Fliar!

No fabrications - No Exaggerations!

All perfect landings right on the DOT!

or

Any pilot who tells you they made a perfect landing their first time at AirVenture Oshkosh will lie about other things too!

or

You can travel the world to see all that aviation offers, or

You can come to AirVenture Oshkosh and see it all here!

Yeah, yeah.  800,000 people and 10,000 aircraft of all types.  blah, blah.

I come for the Brats and Beer.  It's Wisconsin, isn't it?

or

Flying into AirVenture Oshkosh for the first time is like going from go kart racing to the Indy 500, but without the drivers meeting...  oh, wait.  There is that NOTAM thing...

or

Anyone who says all aircraft look alike has never been to AirVenture Oshkosh

or met Burt Rutan...

or

The only dummies at AirVenture Oshkosh ride in with Jeff Dunham.
