Hello Franco,
Laser 200, which was originally designed and flown by the late great Leo Loudenslager, based on the Stephens Akro, has become a generic term for any mid-wing 4-cylinder aerobatics aircarft. I'm not sure which version you intend to build, but maybe these guys can help you:

I'm flying an Extra 230 myself. We use a Lycoming AEIO 390 engine from Monty Barrett giving the airplane fantastic performance. A lightweight midwing with a powerful 4-cylinder engine makes for a delightful airplane.
Good luck!

Hello Thore,
I'm Cristian a friend of Franco and I would like to ask you a couple of question:
-could you tell me the landing distance required by your extra 230?
-I would like to fly the aircraft at advanced level...do you think it will be competitive?
thank you very much for your precious time
see you Cristian
