We fly in & out of KGMU (Greenville Downtown) fairly regularily, and from what I've seen, there is quite an active GA community on the field.  Have you tried going and looking around there?

Below is announcement of our next meeting of EAA 249 chapter in Greenville, SC

First of all, just a reminder, the next EAA Chapter 249 meeting is this coming Monday night, November 1st at 7:30 at the BJU Hangar at GMU.  If you need directions or the gate code, give me a call at 864.525.8938.     The program will be "high lights" from the recent B-17 Tour Stop and updates from you on the status of your project and aviation interests.

Note phone number to call for gate access code.  BJU hangar is on south end and on the Haywood Mall side.

Thanks for all the great feedback everyone!  I contacted the president of the chapter as suggested above and got the great post from Doyce.  Thank you all taht is what I needed to know.  Unfortuanatly I wasn't able to make it this month as I am traveling for work, but I will try to make it next week.
