EAA needs members to review a builder product specifically related to installing Adel Clamps.  To volunteer, simply click the green "reply" button below and say you want to volunteer.  I’ll be selecting the testers (randomly) on 1/18/2010 and closing this thread at that time.  If you are selected, I will send you a private message or email with the details.

Requirements to participate in this test:

  • You have “Adel” clamps to install or remove and reinstall.
  • You have time to test the product in the next 30 days.
  • You must complete a short product review after using the product.
  • You must be an EAA member.
  • You get to keep the product after you are done reviewing it.

If we select your review comments for the Member Tested section of the magazine, we will print your name unless you request otherwise.

We’ll be having other opportunities to test products coming up so keep checking back to www.oshkosh365.org forums for more posts.  You’ll see the outcome of this test work in an upcoming issue of Sport Aviation under Member Tested.

Thanks for volunteering,

Charlie Becker

I regularly use adel clamps when at work, I would love to test a specialized tool out. I could even loan it around the shop, there are about 4 or 5 guys that could try it out here.

I'll give it a shot.  They always seem to be aggravating little devils.

Hi Charlie,

Not just yes I'll be glad to test it, but he!! yeah! Adel clamps are a pain, and anything that will help install them would be a huge bonus for anyone having to install just one.

If there is a way to install an Adel clamp with less than three hands, I want to try it.

If this thing works, it should sell a million.

Thanks!

Hi Charlie,

I am currently in the process of changing my engine, so I will be working a bunch of  Adel clamps. Let me know if I can help.

I am finishing up my RV 8.  Adel clamps everywhere and rarely one that goes in easy.  I would really like to try a new tool.  The best one yet I have found is Avery Tool's.
