Friend bought a pre-owned aircraft with a Narco Mark 12D as #2 Nav Com.
He was told the radio's Nav side was "Localizer only"
Radio does not recieve VOR but works on Localizer.
This does not sound right to me as the Narco Nav reciever, as I have been told by an avionics tech, used the same reciever for both.
Anyone out there have ideas on possible cause for this limitation.
The unit in question is the Slide-In Cessna replacement.
Any suggestions, other than sugestions for boat anchor, would be appreciated.
