I am restoring a Military GHTKJ40 aircraft tug tug that I bought surplus. It came in olive drab but I was in the Navy and was thinking of painting it up in federal yellow. I am told the Navy also used these type of tugs. I never saw any Harlans in service on my base. All I saw were united tractors. I used to repaint GSE equipment like this when I was TAD to NAS Lemmore GSE. The question is, should I respect it's past and keep it Olive Drab or go GSE Yellow. Next year is the 100th anniversary of Naval Aviation. I am torn. Thanks and please comment.

Rernnie,
As a proud U.S. Army vet, I just can't help myself.... "Go Army! Beat Navy!"
I said that on the PA on one of my flights because we had a bunch of Army soldiers on board heading overseas. Everyone chuckled except a Navy Academy graduate sitting in first class. He was not amused at all.
Have a great day!
Ed
