I just bought a fuselage frame, fuel tank, logbooks and other paperwork for a Curtiss Wright Jr. I will be looking for parts and drawings for this aircraft. Anybody out there have anything?

Did you try the Smithsonian?

Not yet as I'm wondering if engineering drawings would be available for a private aircraft. i know they have drawings available for my L-13 which was a project funded by the military with public $. But I'm wondering if they are able to provide people with the drawings for the CW-1 a civilian aircraft. I will look into this though.

You might try the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY.
You can find contact info on the website:

There is one at the Fantasy of Flight Museum in Florida and Kermit Weeks' staff is always very helpful regarding direction. I would also look at the FAA directory and contact other current owners. You may have done all this already.
I have been fascinated with that little airplane. Looked for one pretty actively a year ago. May I ask where you found yours?

Just FYI - this thread was linked on the EAA Vintage Facebook page and a couple of people have responded there as well. You can see those here:

I know two guys (father & son) that are in the final stages of restoration of TWO beautiful Curtiss Juniors. As soon as I get in touch with them I will try to get you together. They should be a wealth of information.
